We at Cialescoop are committed to providing quality and excellence in our products. Although the information we receive from our clients is of utmost importance and essential in the Cooperativa ability to provide these superior services, we recognize our customer’s need for privacy. 

The banking industry has a tradition of safeguarding customers’ private financial information, and we at Cialescoop are committed to upholding that tradition. Cialescoop across the island have adopted voluntary guidelines for the responsible use and protection of customer information.. At Cialescoop, the Board of Directors has adopted a formal Policy to ensure that all consumer information protection measurements are in place.  

This Privacy Statement establishes all the guidelines required to protect your financial information. Our Policy, together with a new financial law, gives our customers more protection than ever. This Privacy Statement is based on our Policy guidelines and expresses our commitment to our customers.  At Cialescoop we are obligated to honor our banking relationship with great care, beginning with the information customers have chosen to share with us.  We believe that their privacy should not be compromised.  At the very same time, we want to offer you the array of financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals.  We believe we can do both through the privacy policy outlined below. 

We collect nonpublic personal information* about you from the following sources:  

Information we receive from you on loan, account and credit card application forms like your name, address, phone numbers, social security number, 

marital status, assets and income, and employer’s information. 

Information about your transactions with us and our affiliates including account balance, payment history, parties to transactions, and credit card usage. 

Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency, such as your creditworthiness and credit history.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know such information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards. Employees who violate our Privacy Policy will be subject to our disciplinary process. 

We actively seek to verify your identity through the use of personal passwords or other information before assisting you.  

We take vigilant fraud protection measures (including holding Customer’s Personal Identification Numbers [PIN] in the strictest confidence) in order to protect our customers around the clock from fraud. 

We may share nonpublic personal information about you to third party organizations that provide account services to our bank; such as financial services providers like mortgage bankers, securities broker-dealers, appraisal services, and insurance agents; all who must conform to our privacy standards.    

We may share non-public personal information about you with other non-financial companies such as retailers, direct-marketers, airlines, publishers, and non-profit organizations when we think that our customers may find these products and services to be of value.  When we share customer information with them to facilitate relevant offers from reputable companies we require them to protect this information as much as we do and we audit their activities for compliance. exchange customer information with credit reporting agencies and risk-management services to the extent permissible by law.

We will attempt to keep customer’s files complete, up-to-date, and accurate.  We will tell our customers how and where to conveniently access their account information (except when we are prohibited by law) and how to notify us about errors, which we will promptly correct.

If you prefer that we do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt-out of those disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law). 

If you wish to be taken off the lists we provide to these companies, simply please send us a letter (see also attached opt-out form) expressing these wishes.  Please be aware that this will not affect your eligibility to receive periodic information from us. 

DEFINITIONS: 

Non-public financial information is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. For example, nonpublic personal information includes information regarding your account balance, payment history and overdraft history. 

Publicly available information means any information that you reasonably believe is lawfully made available to the general public from federal,  and local government records, widely distributed media which is information from the telephone book, TV and radio programs, newspapers, and web sites that are available to the general public on an unrestricted basis., and in addition disclosures that are made to the general public by federal  and local law requirements. If you would like to opt-out of these disclosures please write us a letter with your request. evertheless, this will not affect your eligibility to receive periodic Cialescoop information and mailings.

In order for your request to be properly processed, please print clearly and do not include any other kind of correspondence in the envelope.  Remember to include all Cialescoop account numbers (including deposit accounts) that you wish this request to apply to. Please allow approximately 30 days for your request to become effective. 

This notice is not a part of your Cialescoop contracts and agreements. We have a serious responsibility to fulfill your service and privacy needs, Cialescoop is committed to keep an array of personalized products exceeding your needs and expectations.
